We will be featuring the most fabulous leather socks on the market this coming Spring Summer season to join our Thaqafah collection.
Leather socks are comfortable and wisks away sweat in your feet as you wear them.
Leather socks have been worn for centuries if not thousands of years, by nations throughout history. The Japanese leather socks are called Tabi and the Arab or “Muslim” leather socks are called khuffs (sock in Arabic ).
If you are into earthing, minimalism, comfortability, or just down right fashion, then our socks will be perfect for you. They have made their way on the runways of Milan and now they will be available for all who would like to sport them.
They will be featured in an array of colors and styles throughout the seasons. They can be worn indoor or outdoors, depending on surface (I wouldn’t recommend rock climbing in them).
Follow us to be notified when purchase will be available, and feel free to ask any questions concerning this new collection of socks.
I don’t if you are aware of the current rave about metal bags or not. But we have good news that our Thaqafah will have a permanent collection of the metal beauties.
They are available at a promo price, and are going fast. They can be worn formally or casually, depending on what you’re wearing.
So we finally got the design worked out for the peshawari sandals. I didn’t share this before, but the first pair of peshawaris that were constructed were square at the toe and they looked too manly.
For those who don’t know, these sandals are worn by men in India and Pakistan, but for the first time they have been styled for women in a feminine way.
Others have tried, but the sandals still have that square toe that makes it look exactly the men’s sandals.
Our collection will come in a pleasant array of colors and beautiful stitching, and will be ready for purchase as soon as they arrive.
Tell us what you think ladies and gents, and it will be greatly appreciated
Ok so we came accross these beautiful Moroccan shoes/ballet flats. They are absolutely geogeous and look very comfortable indeed. We have got to get to Morocco and see their souk and bazaar.
I hear that the craftsmanship that they put in their shoes are totally amazing. I need to see it in person in order to get the full affect….#travelgoals
I say, one has got to love fashion inspiration from around the globe. Why you might ask? The answer is simply that when citizens of the world connect and merge with each other then we get beautiful fusion from art, to food.
I happened to be admiring some a Indian mojari shoes one fine afternoon while surfing the net. Then I did a little searching on my favorite social network Instagram, and decided to hashtag# mojari to see what fashion divas out there were rocking with their colorful footwear.
Low and behold, I discovered a well established and modern brand called Fizzy Goblet, dishing out quirky yet chic designs, but still in the original mojari style.
I absolutely adore these slip on ballerina type flats, made from 100% leather from start to finish, with special attention to small details that will make the wearer feel super feminine and dainty at the same time.
I love them, so I’m sure you’ll love them too. The leather mojaris come in so many colors, and prints that make you want to buy them all…….
Ok, so I found this awesome Japanese brand that have the most amazing shoes that I’ve seen in a long time. I actually stumbled upon them by looking for something else actually (aren’t those the best finds) ;)……..
The company/brand is called Mizutori, and they specialize in putting a modern spin on the ancient geta shoes of Japan. The shoes come in a series of styles, from your basic but chic slip on, to your clog, and platforms.
Have a look and be the judge of their greatness- I know I am testifying……
Now I’m sure all of you have had times when you’ve worn a pair of shoes just for fashion and totally Killed your poor toes for the sake of looking good.
If this is or was you, then you are in for good news. This solution is by far a new idea or invention, but it is a spin and update on an old idea.
We have designed a roomier shoe bag from the prototype of a classic shoe bag from the 1960’s. The shoe bags are roomy and stylish. Made from a mixture of genuine leather/suede, and fabric.

So as I was thinking of what styles should be included in our Thaqafah collections, I thought of all the bright countries in the world with wonderful colorful market places and bazaars.
Morocco popped in my head, so I started to look closely at their beautiful slippers, and then I came across these beauties of the 1970’s from a couple of vintage sellers on Etsy
Aren’t they just gorge! The detail and craftsmanship is just amazing on these beauties. In the sample bag they go,to be taken to the artisans to recreate.
It’s been a long 2014 and dreams have come true and others grew.
We are proud to announce our very own private footwear label……Thaqafah. Thaqafah means culture in the Arabic language, and was created by myself owner of Sole Shoe Boutique , Ruqayyah Amrikeeyah.
The brand will be dishing out handmade shoes from across the globe. All leather shoes from start to finish, made by talented artisans from Far East, inspired by traditional style but modern appeal.
After being in shoe business for so many years, and growing up in a shoe loving family of women, eventually creating a collection of my own was a no brainer. My lovely mother had been trying to get me to actually learn how to make shoes. But of course that was just not feasible.
So, we decided to take an approach to the footwear world ,that would be unique, trendy, exciting, colorful, comfortable and most importantly affordable.
We present to you……………
