Keffiyeh Fashion

I came accross this beautiful top by just scrolling through instagram earlier this afternoon, and the top happened to be made from the famouse Palestinian keffiyeh fabric. The fabric is usually used to make scarves, that the military men wear, and religious men from the Muslim world wear. But somewhere down the line someone had a genius idea to make this beautiful scarf fabric into clothing.

Namely a new emerging brand called: Cecilie Copenhagen

 Edit

Well, we had to put our two cents in by jumping on board to assemble some keffiyeh threads of our own, with a twist. The fabric is so chic and unique, that the style pair ups are endless.

Have a look at what we put together:

Paired with some leather barefoot shoes.

Barefoot shoes and round toe tabi socks

So, our samples arrived rom Turkey and Pakistan  the other day. We ordered some round toe tabi socks aka leather socks. One ankle ballet flat type, and the other kind of like an ankle ballet bootie type.

We have big plans for these socks/shoes, by adding a thin rubber sole , to preserve the leather under ther sock, and also allow you the feeling of walking barefoot without compromising style.

Here’s a peek at what we’ve got so far, with more to follow……..

We have a few of the black, in sizes 8-11 , so if interested then message us. They fit like a glove, just like wearing nothing on your feet all day .

Who’s down for a pair of fly leather socks?

We will be featuring the most fabulous leather socks on the market this coming Spring Summer season to join our Thaqafah collection.

Leather socks are comfortable and wisks away sweat in your feet as you wear them.

Leather socks have been worn for centuries if not thousands of years, by nations throughout history. The Japanese leather socks are called Tabi and the Arab or “Muslim” leather socks are called khuffs (sock in Arabic ).

If you are into earthing, minimalism, comfortability, or just down right fashion, then our socks will be perfect for you. They have made their way on the runways of Milan and now they will be available for all who would like to sport them.

They will be featured in an array of colors and styles throughout the seasons. They can be worn indoor or outdoors, depending on surface (I wouldn’t recommend rock climbing in them).

Follow us to be notified when purchase will be available, and feel free to ask any questions concerning this new collection of socks.

New Style India

I say, one has got to love fashion inspiration from around the globe. Why you might ask? The answer is simply that when citizens of the world connect and merge with each other then we get beautiful fusion from art, to food.

I happened to be admiring some a Indian mojari shoes one fine afternoon while surfing the net. Then I did a little searching on my favorite social network Instagram, and decided to hashtag# mojari to see what fashion divas out there were rocking with their colorful footwear.

Low and behold, I discovered a well established and modern brand called Fizzy Goblet, dishing out quirky yet chic designs, but still in the original mojari style.

I absolutely adore these slip on ballerina type flats, made from 100% leather from start to finish, with special attention to small details that will make the wearer feel super feminine and dainty at the same time.

I love them, so I’m sure you’ll love them too. The leather mojaris come in so many colors, and prints that make you want to buy them all…….

Enjoy

Talk about wow!!!

Ok, so I found this awesome Japanese brand that have the most amazing shoes that I’ve seen in a long time. I actually stumbled upon them by looking for something else actually (aren’t those the best finds) ;)……..

The company/brand is called Mizutori, and they specialize in putting a modern spin on the ancient geta shoes of Japan. The shoes come in a series of styles, from your basic but chic slip on, to your clog, and platforms.

Have a look and be the judge of their greatness- I know I am testifying……
