Barefoot shoes are the closest to Earth walking than anything else
We have decided to put our 2 cents In the barefoot shoe game. Thaqafah has a new ,leather ,stylish ,handmade,barefoot shoe with padded bottoms for light indoor/outdoor walking.
The idea for these barefoot shoes was first hatched after thinking of an easier alternative for women to change into when their feet hurt them after walking in heels all day. So instead of walking completely barefoot because of sore feet, or wearing bulky sneakers with a dress or skirt, thn just slip into some chic, lightweight barefoot shoes.
So here’s the result in brief, after searching for cobblers and sending samples for the right fit. Hope everyone likes them, and finds them useful for all of your barefoot, stylish needs. They come in a small range of colors for now, but we plan on expanding the color and style range with each collection.

Who’s down for a pair of fly leather socks?
We will be featuring the most fabulous leather socks on the market this coming Spring Summer season to join our Thaqafah collection.
Leather socks are comfortable and wisks away sweat in your feet as you wear them.
Leather socks have been worn for centuries if not thousands of years, by nations throughout history. The Japanese leather socks are called Tabi and the Arab or “Muslim” leather socks are called khuffs (sock in Arabic ).
If you are into earthing, minimalism,comfortability, or just down right fashion, then our socks will be perfect for you. They have made their way on the runways of Milan and now they will be available for all who would like to sport them.
They will be featured in an array of colors and styles throughout the seasons. They can be worn indoor or outdoors, depending on surface (I wouldn’t recommend rock climbing in them).

Peshawaris for ladies just for Thaqafah
So we finally got the design worked out for the peshawari sandals. I didn’t share this before, but the first pair of peshawaris that were constructed were square at the toe and they looked too manly.
For those who don’t know, these sandals are worn by men in India and Pakistan, but for the first time they have been styled for women in a feminine way.
Others have tried, but the sandals still have that square toe that makes it look exactly the men’s sandals.
Our collection will come in a pleasant array of colors and beautiful stitching, and will be ready for purchase as soon as they arrive.

Now I’m sure all of you have had times when you’ve worn a pair of shoes just for fashion and totally Killed your poor toes for the sake of looking good.
If this is or was you, then you are in for good news. This solution is by far a new idea or invention, but it is a spin and update on an old idea.
We have designed a roomier shoe bag from the prototype of a classic shoe bag from the 1960’s. The shoe bags are roomy and stylish. Made from a mixture of genuine leather/suede, and fabric.
